Building
If you plan to build a new home or business in Holden, and will need water and sewer services, be sure to contact us first to be sure of the availability of these utilities and to arrange for proper permitting and installation of these necessary services.
New Resident
If you are moving into an existing structure in Holden, and need to establish a new service account for water and sewer, there will be a security agreement and deposit made before your services can be established. Each active meter must have $100 deposit. Your deposit will be returned to you at the time of termination of your utility account. When you have established your account and are ready to have your utilities delivered to your home or building, please make an appointment with our office. Someone must be present with our serviceman at the location of service in order to connect your water utility.
Transferring Your Account
If you are moving from one location in Holden to another, and wish to have your utilities discontinued at one location and continued at another within the City of Holden service area, simply provide us the following information and your service transfer will be made at your convenience: your name, your present address, the new address, and the date you would like the transfer to be completed. Your security deposit will also be transferred to the new address. Once again, an appointment must be made for someone to be present at the location of the new service at the time the serviceman is there to connect the utilities.
Closing Your Account
If you are moving away, outside of the Holden service area, or for any other reason wish to discontinue your water and sewer service, you may come in or call with the following information: your name, the address of the service you wish to discontinue, the date you wish to close the account, and your new mailing address. Your service will be disconnected and a final bill will then be generated from the meter reading on that day. Your security deposit will then be mailed to you at your new address less the final bill and any outstanding bills due.
